Laminated Strand Lumber (LSL) is made from a mix of poplar and maple from sustainable managed sources. Research has shown that by using these two types of wood, stronger LSL can be produced. LSL is also equipped with a water-repellent coating on the 4 surfaces as standard. This coating offers additional protection against splitting, cracking and warping on the construction site. LSL has a greater load capacity than traditional softwood, remains straight and shrinking and bending is limited. These characteristics make LSL suitable for a wide range of applications, both in new construction and renovation projects.
